2. A medical approach on the conditions of flight

Here you’ll find fragments of service regulations from 1918, including medical advices for the pilots. They illustrate the demands of flying in the First World War concerning physical health. Read the text fragments and name the physical strains of the pilots in context of the following three factors: changes in atmospheric pressure, weather effects and solar radiation.
