This Project ‚Death in the skies‘ deals with the often neglected, rather bloody and unheroic part of aerial warfare. We want to present the ‚face‘ of death, killing and wounding, overall the mortal consequences of aviation in the first World War. The basis for this work are images as well as statistics concerning the losses and crashes of the several armies in WW1.
